Our first annual "Lighten Up" celebration at the Woodlawn Casting Pond and Park 115 Alexander, San Antonio, TX 78201 was an amazing success! It was a collaborative event hosted by Keller-Rihn Studio/Mandala Healing Arts in collaboration with Dreamland Collective featuring the PEACE Initiative and Interfaith INC. On this wonderful day we celebrated life and light, conscious creativity and explored the endless possibilities for inner growth. This family friendly event was absolutely FREE to the public and featured live music, FREE veggie food, yoga and Tai Chi workshops, live art, holistic vendors, mandala installations, a healing flower ritual, floating illuminated artworks, light art installations, poetry and a video installation. Live music and performances by: Verisimilitude, Oponomo, Krishna Monks, Kaveri Yoga Bharatnatyam Dancers, Amanda Chavis, Rudy Harst of the Celebration Circle, David Rodriquez and Bettye Daniels. Workshops by P.E.A.C.E. Initiative, Deborah Charnes, The SA Yoga Meet-Up. Tai Chi by Shiva Jyoti. Massage by Sophia Martinez. Many thanks to Bill Simons for his beautiful light sculptures and for his steadfast assistance with the project. This event was funded by the City of San Antonio’s Department for Culture and Creative Development (DCCD) and the Texas Commission for the Arts.
